Selby Project Launch

Our newest Move Mates project starts in Selby

Spreading the word in Selby and the surrounding district.

We’re excited to announce the latest addition to the Move Mates family; our Selby and District project. Sarah, our Selby Project Officer, has been busy putting up posters and generally  spreading the potential about our newest project. The Selby project will pair people who need support to leave their homes with a volunteer for a weekly walk. We provide full training and DBS checks for our volunteers.

Selby will include Tadcaster and Sherburn-in-Elmet, and the villages in between.

Sarah is busy recruiting volunteers and letting prescribing services and organisations in the third sector know that we’ll be ready for referrals once they have completed their training and DBS checks. We’re excited to see the project develop in Selby and District and to achieve our ultimate goal of improving people’s wellbeing through movement.
