Session Details
Much like learning how to perform first aid, sighted guiding is a useful life skill. It will give you the confidence to know how to act when you meet someone who is blind or partially sighted, and the practical guiding techniques to help them if they need it. Our sighted guide training teaches you how to physically guide a person with sight loss, allowing them their dignity. We cover a brief overview of the most common eye conditions, the barriers to independence people face, emotional consequences
of sight loss and communication. The training helps create a more inclusive society for people with sight loss.
