Volunteer Roles

Make a Difference by Volunteering

Our volunteers always tell us how great volunteering makes them feel and what a positive impact is has on their own lives. That’s before you even consider how wonderful it is to support others!

There are a range of ways you can support us in a fulfilling volunteer role. These roles will connect you with your local community, increase your skills, and make you feel like a totally awesome human being!

Find out about our volunteering roles below.

Move Mate

Could you give an hour or two each week to walk and talk with someone who would otherwise struggle to leave their home? Being a walking buddy is so rewarding and such a simple way to volunteer.

Project Support

Project Support volunteers can help out on a ‘per task’ basis, so it could be anything from one or two phone calls a week or attending occasional events, writing blogs and social media posts or you can commit to regular hours to support a project.

Wellbeing Walk Leader (York)

Our Walk Leaders make a huge difference to their local community just by volunteering for around 90 minutes each month.

Leading a Wellbeing Walk helps people who would otherwise struggle experience the joys of walking in a group.

Fundraiser (Anywhere)

Set yourself a challenge, get your friends, family, colleagues and neighbours involved and and help us by raising vital funds to support us.

You can also help raise funds by joining our Fundraising Group who meet once per month. Check out the events page for more information.
