Date/Time
Wednesday 27 July 2022
18:30 - 20:00
Location
Ethel Ward Memorial Field Car Park
This is the second of two Volunteer Social Walks for July led by the awesome Danny to give two date options or come along to both!
Over to Danny to tell you more about the walk:
“Join me for a wander along the banks of the Foss from Haxby to Earswick and back, crisscrossing the river on 2 narrow footbridges and walking past the remnants of the old Haxby lock.
We’ll meet at the car park of Ethel Ward Memorial Field on Calf Close, Haxby. Plenty of parking for car or bike, or get a #1 from town to Calf Close. If a 13 or 14 is easier, get off at the Memorial Hall and walk for 3 minutes. Precise what3words location: ///possible.interlude.trailer
If the consensus of the group is to do a bit more than the 50 minute walk, we can extend it to Huntington Church, pop in to the Blacksmith Arms for some refreshment and/or continue along the riverside to New Earswick.
Please note that there is some uneven ground so unfortunately I can’t recommend this for those who can only walk on flat surfaces.”
