Four New Trustees Appointed
As four of our long-standing trustees step down, we are delighted to welcome four new trustees to join our board.
Trustees play a hugely important role in any charity; ultimately they are responsible for ensuring the charity does what it is there to do. For us at Move the Masses, that is ensuring we are doing everything we can to improve people’s wellbeing through movement.
We are saying farewell and a big thank you to two of our founding trustees, Nick and John, as well as to Deborah and Barbara, all of whom have steered our organisation through the Covid-19 pandemic.
For our new trustees, it’s an exciting time to come onboard alongside our Treasurer, Jack. The board will be putting together a new and ambitious strategy for Move the Masses, to grow our projects and to expand the organisation beyond York.
Hayden Holmes
Hayden will be taking the reins from Nick Griffin as our next Chair of Trustees.
Hayden is a Project Manager at the York Health Economics Consortium and he is on a mission to explore ways to improve public health. He reckons Move the Masses is really well placed to do just that.
As a keen runner, Hayden knows from personal experience how much being active impacts positively on his own mental and physical health and he loves that Move the Masses champions this for the wider population.
Ange Graham
Ange joined us as a Move Mate in early 2021 and saw first-hand the real and tangible benefits she was making to the people she supported.
As a qualified solicitor, Ange is bringing to our board her skills in policy development, governance and regulatory law as well as her passion for championing the benefits of physical exercise on mental and physical wellbeing.
Ange is also involved in our fundraising committee and wants to use her professional skills to support our organisation as well as becoming more involved in her local community.
“I’m really excited to become a trustee with Move the Masses and look forward to working with the charity’s leadership team and the other trustees to guide the organisation in its growth and strategy.“
