Date/Time
Saturday 11 March 2023
10:00 - 12:00
Location
Millennium Bridge
Come and meet your fellow volunteers for a walk and talk.
Each month we meet at a different location for a social wander and chat . It’s a great way to get to know other volunteers and chat all things Move Mates (or anything else you fancy chatting about!).
Details
This months volunteer social is a little different! We will be meeting by Millennium Bridge on the Fulford side. From there we will be met by Eithne from St Nicks Environment Centre for a Making Tracks Engagement Session. The precise location of the meeting point can be found here: https://w3w.co/strut.drip.composers
Eithne will take us on a guided walk around Millennium Fields to show us some of the areas St Nicks’ staff and volunteers have been working on during their Making Tracks sessions, explaining the tasks they’ve done and their benefits for people and nature. There will also be a chance to have a go at some of the practical conservation skills involved.
Please feel free to bring beneficiaries/partners/friends/relatives along with you to this session.
Some information on Making Tracks
Making Tracks, funded by Natural England, is a project run in partnership by the St Nicks Ecotherapy and Natural Habitats departments to help improve mental health and wellbeing by engaging people with nature. They hold sessions carrying out practical conservation tasks at green spaces in Fulford.
