Dragon Boat Fundraising Success

Brilliant fundraising effort by the
Move the Masses Massive

In July the team, led by Jenna, took part in York's annual Dragon Boat Race to raise funds for us

The York Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge takes place on the River Ouse through the city centre each July. The event does a terrific job of raising money for various charities and Move the Masses were delighted to be one of these in 2022. Find out more about the event, and its history here:

I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone for volunteering their time and doing such an awesome job in helping us fundraise.”

Egg, Move the Masses CEO

2022 was the 20th year for this event and 36 teams assembled on the River Ouse, in York, on the 10th July to battle it out. The Move the Masses Massive finished in a respectable 14th place with a best time on the day of 1:25:09. Over the past 20 years, the event has raised £1,380,000 for local charities. The £1700 raised for Move the Masses will make a huge difference to our work supporting people to get moving. A huge thank you to Jenna and the fundraising efforts of all the volunteers for this event.
